I am Renee DeTar and the creator of The Institute of Interdisciplinary Yoga Studies (IIYS), a registered teacher training program with the United States Yoga Alliance at both the 200- and 500-hour levels.
The IIYS is the manifestation of many years of teaching and studying yoga along with other healing modalities. After owning and managing large yoga studios offering a variety of yoga styles, as well as working with fit elite athletes, students suffering from severe accident injuries, mothers and mommies-in-waiting, and those experiencing the aches and pains of the body from aging and disease, I have a unique perspective in the yoga teacher training field. The IIYS offers a liberal arts approach to learning; not holding one style over another. Thus, we have a rockin' teacher training faculty and a liberal approach to your plan of study, whether you are looking for a 200 hour certificate or want to finish your 500 hour certificate.
